As we enter the full blooming months of Spring, Arca Society creates a fragrant tea-themed afternoon spread with an assortment of refreshing and delightful savory and sweet pastries paired with Japanese cha.
The set showcases an array of tea infused dishes, carefully crafted by the chef. Highlights include “Pan-Seared Scallops with Earl Grey Tea Oil On Toast,” the aromatic drizzle of oil enhances the freshness and sweetness of the Hokkaido Scallops; “Hojicha Chicken Breast Vol-Au-Vent,” smoked chicken meat using Japanese Hojicha, encased in a delicious light puff pastry to provide that perfect balance in taste and texture. To finish off, the sweets selection includes some classics with a twist “Scones With Clotted Cream and Homemade Earl Grey Filling;” & “Hojicha Cheesecake,” both favorites on afternoon tea and elevated with the perfectly matched fragrant tea aroma. “Uji Matcha and Red Bean Cake,” which blends the sweetness of the red bean with matcha, is truly a match made in heaven.
